The film about scandalous Harvey Weinstein at the 10th Odesa International Film Festival

Documentary film Untouchable in Gala Premiers of OIFF 2019 non-competition program

The Ukrainian premiere of the documentary film Untouchable about the scandalously known American producer Harvey Weinstein will be featured at Gala Premiers of the non-competition program at the anniversary 10th Odesa International Film Festival.

The world premiere of the film took place at the Sundance Film Festival, where it immediately received positive feedbacks from the world press. This is a story of a star-up and an unconscious fall of the movies titan Harvey Weinstein. It sheds light on how Weinstein gained tremendous power and had been used it for decades. Many lawsuits on sexual harassment occurred a little less than two years ago, but the inviolability of Hollywood main producer collapsed in an instant, and at the same time, his career, which he had been building for years. In the film, former employees, classmates and journalists reflect on the perception of Weinstein as a seer by the public, while describing in detail his merciless attempts to suppress the #MeToo movement and retain power after the scandal that happened to him.

The film was shot by Ursula Macfarlane, the UK director of documentary cinema. Her documentary work demonstrates the ability of convincing and attractive observation of characters, combined with an entertaining storyline and visual sophistication. Among the works of the director, there are Breaking up with the Joneses, Tsunami: Survivors' Stories, Charlie Hebdo: 3 Days That Shook Paris, Captive, One Deadly Weekend in America. Ursula Macfarlane was nominated four times for the BAFTA Award and has a number of awards and nominations at Grierson Award, Broadcast and the Royal Television Society Awards.

The company Arthouse Traffic will release Untouchable for Ukrainian public screening on August 22.
