OIFF at KVIFF: The participants of Works in Progress have been announced

The participants of the Works in Progress section of the Odesa International Film Festival have been announced. This year, due to the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine, the section will take place at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

The OIFF WIP Selection presentation will feature 8 film projects in the final stage of shooting or in post-production produced in Ukraine or in co-production with Ukraine.

So, the following projects have been selected for participation in OIFF WIP Selection:

  • U Are the Universe, dir. Pavlo Ostrіkov, prod. Volodymyr Yatsenko, Anna Yatsenko, Ukraine
  • Chrysanthemum Day, dir. Simon Mozgovyi, prod. Artem Kolyubaiev, Olexander Chepiga, Ukraine, Poland, North Macedonia, Croatia. Serbia
  • The Glass House, dir. Taras Dron, prod. Igor Savychenko, Valeria Sochyvets, Dmitro Koghema, Taras Dron, Ukraine
  • Company Of Steel, dir. Yuliia Hontaruk, prod. Yuliia Hontaruk, Ivanna Khitsinska, Alexandra Bratyshchenko, Uldіs Sekulіs, Igor Savychenko, Ukraine
  • “When we were 15”, dir. Anna Buryachkova, prod. Vіtalіy Sheremetyiev, Natalia Libet, Ukraine
  • Demons, dir. Natalka Voroghbit, prod. Dmitro Mіnzyanov, Denis Ivanov, Ukraine
  • Crazy, dir. Denis Tarasov (II), prod. Taras Bosak, Valerіya Іvanenko, Ukraine

The best Works in Progress project will receive a prize from Barrandov Studio in the amount of 10,000 euros.

Work in Progress will be held as part of KVIFF's Industry Days, which will take place on July 3-6. Work in Progress projects will be presented on July 5th. The presentation of each project will take up to 15 minutes.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will take place from July 1-9.
