Falling is a story about the post-revolutionary generation of young Ukrainian people who are looking for their place in a modern Ukraine. The film follows two bewildered people who meet at a crucial moment of their existence and experience a few days of happiness together.

Director: Marina Stepanska

Marina Stepanska was born in Kyiv. She graduated from the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Film, Theatre and TV in 2004. Later she worked at the School experimental theatre where she studied work with non-professional actors. She participated in the six-month workshop Archidoc, organised for European documentarians by La Fémis film school in Paris. She has directed several shorts and also wrote various scripts. Her Man's Work won Best Ukrainian Short at the Odessa IFF and an award for the ensemble cast at the Molodist IFF in Kyiv. Falling is her feature film debut.
