50-year anniversary is the beginning of a complicated phase in the life of a wedding photographer Kostya. All that he loved and to which had been tied to, permanently disappears. Although there are not so many such things in his life: father, paralyzed by a stroke; girlfriend, working as a stylist in a wedding magazine; an old cat and photographic slides in which Kostya is young and happy. Kostya is photographing someone else's happiness all of his life. For him, it is a daily routine.
Director: Valentyn Vasyanovych
Ukrainian director, producer and DOP. Graduated from The Karpenko-Kary National University of Theatre, Cinema and TV as a cinematographer (1995) and documentary filmmaker (2000). He studies fiction filmmaking in The Wajda School in Poland (2007). In 2004, his documentary Against the Sun received the Jury Prize at the Clermont-Ferrand IFF. His fiction films Business as Usual and Kredens were awarded at the Odessa IFF. In 2014, Valentyn Vasyanovych and Iya Myslytska produced The Tribe, the biggest Ukrainian festival hit in recent years. His documentary Crepuscule was recognised as the best Ukrainian film of 2015 at the Odessa Film Festival.
