The Goethe-Institut is a non-profit German cultural association promoting the study of the German language abroad and encouraging international cultural exchange and relations. The main goal of the Goethe-Institut is to teach German as a foreign language. Also the Goethe-Institut fosters knowledge about Germany by providing information about German culture, society and politics. This includes not just the exchange of films, music, theater and literature, but also cultural values. The organization is named after famous German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Goethe-Institut has 60 years experience in teaching German as a foreign language, in teacher`s training and in curriculum, examinations and materials development. Due to cultural and entertainment programme, you can apply your knowledge of the language and introduce with Germany; in an international group you can establish personal and business contacts. The library classes supplement lessons, providing a variety of materials and training tools for self-study. The Institute also developed the system of qualification exams for German learners for levels from A1 to C2 levels. These exams answer to Common European Framework of Reference Standard.
