OIFF-2012 International Competition winner that obtains Gran-Prix and $15000 money prize will be determined via viewers' voting.

Audience Award has become the main prize of Odessa International Film Festival. Viktoriya Tigipko, OIFF's president, announced that during OIFF presentation at Berlinae European Film Market. "This year we have a major change in the OIFF regulations. Festival Grand Prix will be awarded by the audience, - says Mrs.Tigipko. - Thus, from this year on the international competition winner and the Grand Prix holder (which is, namely, Golden Duke statuette and USD 15.000 money prize) will be defined via audience voting".

International audition company will certify the transparency of the voting process. International Jury will award prizes in the following categories: Best Film, Best Director and Best Acting.

OIFF's regulations for 2012 define two official competition programs of the festival: international competition of full-length features and Ukrainian competition. The latter includes both full-length features and shorts. Programming department invites everyone to apply for the participation in the competition.

Presentation of the third Odessa International Film Festival, where organizers told about the progress in OIFF preparation, was held on the 16th of February, 2012, at the Ukrainian Film Corner at Berlinale EFM. There also presentations planned at the other A-class festivals, such as Cannes, Moscow and Toronto.

Berlinale is one of the important platforms for the OIFF selection process. There will be at least 4-5 film from Berlin in Odessa. OIFF selectors already have visited festivals in Venice, Warsaw, Marseilles, Rotterdam and 2Morrow festival in Moscow. First results of the festival team work will be presented in Ukraine in the end of March.

3rd Odessa International Film Festival will take place on July 13-22 2012.
